BAN vs AFG Preview:

  • Shakib Al Hasan had an average outing in the ODI series but he showed some form in the final game, giving just 13 runs in 10 overs and bagging a wicket. Shakib is one of the best bowlers in this format and can be backed as Bangladesh’s best bowler.
  • Rashid Khan was superb in the ODI series and T20I is a format he enjoys more than any other format. Rashid Khan will be Afghanistan’s main bowler so he is a solid pick for the top Afghan bowler.
  • Both teams have good bowlers in their teams and plenty of wickets are likely to fall in the game. Back total wickets in the match are to be more than 12.5.

Live Streaming

TV Channels: Fans In India will not be able to watch the games on TV as there is no television broadcast for the series in the country.

Weather & Pitch Report

Weather:

It has been raining heavily in Bangladesh over the last few days and there are over 70 percent chances of rain on the match day as well.

Pitch Report:

The pitch will be good for batting in the first inning and there should be very little help on offer for the pacers. However, spinners are always a threat in these conditions as the ball grips and turns. The second innings will be tougher to bat.

Toss Prediction:

The wicket should be a good surface to bat in the first innings and will get slower as the game progresses so the team winning the toss should bat first.

BAN vs AFG Team NEWS:

BAN Team News:

The squad almost is the same as that featured in the ODI series. Mohammed Naim and Hasan Mahmud are a few players who are not part of the T20I series, with Nasum Ahmed and Shamim Hossain coming into the team.

AFG Team News:

Afghanistan too has more or less the same squad that played the ODI series. Rashid Khan will lead the team in the T20I series and will welcome the likes of Mohammad Shahzad, Noor Ahmed, Hazratullah Zazai, and Sediqullah Atal. Fazalhaq Farooqui picked up an injury in the final ODI so he is not certain to play.

Winning Chances:

While the bookies are backing Bangladesh to win, it won’t be a bad move to go with Afghanistan who are getting higher odds. Afghanistan is no less talented team than Bangladesh and have all the assets to beat the hosts. Also, they have won nine of the six games against Bangladesh and are well used to the conditions. Their form in the ODI series was also good so Afghanistan are favourites for us.

BAN vs AFG Key Players:

Bangladesh

Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan had a poor outing in the ODI series as he failed to make an impact with bat and ball. However, his performance in the last ODI where he gave just 13 runs in 10 overs and picked up a wicket to go along with 39 runs will give him a lot of confidence.

Litton Das

Litton Das found form in the last ODI against Afghanistan and scored 53 not out to take Bangladesh home. Das is a very good batter and one of Bangladesh’s best when it comes to the shortest format of the game.

Mustafizur Rahman

Mustafizur Rahman should return to playing 11 after missing the final ODI. He is one of the key parts of the team in T20Is and played a significant role in Bangladesh’s win over England at home in earlier series.

Afghanistan

Rahmanullah Gurbaz

Rahmanullah Gurbaz had a magnificent outing in the ODI series and scored 145 in the second game. Gurbaz is already an established batter in this format of the game and will hold the key for the visitors.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Mujeeb Ur Rahman played a huge role in Afghanistan’s ODI series win and will be a vital player in the T20Is too.

Rashid Khan

not much needs to be said about the veteran. He is arguably the best spinner in the world and has proved his mettle all around the globe. Not just bowling, Rashid has also shown that he is a valuable batter down the order.
