NEW DELHI: IPL 2022 Retained Player List – Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Rohit Sharma will keep their respective RCB, CSK, and MI jerseys as the BCCI announced the list of 27 players who have been retained by the existing eight mega-auctions for the 2022 edition.

The eight franchises were allowed to keep up to four players with a total pay limit of Rs 90 crore available at the mega auction for each team, with a maximum of three Indians, two international players, and two uncapped Indians.

The Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mumbai Indians have each decided to keep four players. The Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad each kept three players, while the Punjab Kings kept two. As a result, Punjab has the highest wage budget with Rs 72 crore. Of the 27 players retained, eight are from outside India and four are uncapped Indians.

Royal Challengers Banglore: Virat Kohli (Rs 15 cr), Glenn Maxwell (Rs 11 cr) and Mohammed Siraj (Rs 7cr). Purse remaining for RCB: Rs 57 crores

Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma (Rs 16 cr), Jasprit Bumrah (Rs 12 cr), Suryakumar Yadav (Rs 8 cr), Kieron Pollard (Rs 6 cr). Purse remaining for MI: Rs 48 crores

Punjab Kings: Mayank Agarwal (Rs 12 cr, 14 cr to be deducted from purse), Arshdeep Singh (Rs 4 cr). Purse remaining for PBKS: Rs 72 crores

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Kane Williamson (Rs 14 cr), Abdul Samad (Rs 4 cr), Umran Malik (Rs 4 cr). Purse remaining for SRH: Rs 68 crores

Chennai Super King: Ravindra Jadeja (Rs 16 cr), MS Dhoni (Rs 12 cr), Moeen Ali (Rs 8 cr), Raturaj Gaikwad (Rs 6 cr). Purse remaining for CSK: Rs 48 crores

Note: If a Retained Player’s league free exceeds the relevant specified amount, the relevant Franchisee’s Salary Cap will be reduced by the amount of the greater League Free. If the League Fee negotiated with a Retained Player is less than the relevant prescribed amount, the relevant Franchisee’s Salary Cap will be reduced by the relevant recommended amount.
