• Shubman Gill showed signs of a return to form after a blazing 72 run knock against Rajasthan Royals. He is our preferred choice for GT top batter. Mohit Sharma has a great record at Narendra Modi Stadium and most of his eight wickets this season have come at this venue as it suits his bowling style. Sharma is a great choice for top bowler.
• David Warner has not been at his best but being the senior most batter, a lot will rest on him. Also, Warner has looked good during his stay at the crease but lost his wicket in an attempt to score quick runs. Punters can take a bet on Warner who is set for a big knock after a string of low scores in the past few games. The absence of a match winner like David Miller has hurt Gujarat Titans but Miller is likely to get fit before the clash against Delhi Capitals. GT pacer Spencer Johnson while speaking ahead of Rajasthan Royals clash had confirmed that Miller will be available for the DC game; however, there has been no official update about the same. To accommodate Miller and Wade together, GT would have to drop one of Noor Ahmed or Spencer Johnson, with the latter having greater odds of getting dropped. GT could replace him with Karthik Tyagi. 

DC Team News: 

Mitchell Marsh has flown to Australia due to injury and he is unlikely to return to the remainder of the IPL. The Capitals played Jake Frazer McGurk and he made an immediate impact with a fiery half century. Also, the team got Shai Hope in the playing XI while Kuldeep Yadav made a return after an injury. The Capitals now look a much balanced team and should step on the park with an unchanged combination.

Shubman Gill has not been at his best in IPL 2024 but he has played a couple of decent innings, including a 72 run knock against the Rajasthan Royals. Gill is one of the mainstays of Gujarat Titans thus he has to be in full flow in most games if GT have to make a big impact in the tournament.

Sai Sudharsan 

Sai Sudharshan is another pillar of Gujarat Titans’ batting. Sudharsan has been mighty impressive for GT this season, scoring 226 runs; however, his strike rate has been a cause of concern. We don’t expect Sudharsan to play like Heinrich Klassen or Andre Russell thus other batters need to chip in with fiery cameos and allow Sudharsan to anchor the innings.

Rashid Khan 

Rashid Khan once again proved his match winning skills as he scored 24 in 11 balls to help GT chase 197 from a near impossible situation against RR. Rashid also bowled a top spell of 1-18 in four overs.

Mohit Sharma 

Mohit Sharma has done really well while playing at home where the conditions favour slower bowlers. Mohit has taken eight wickets this season and most of the wickets have come at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
