Now we are Explaining the IPL 2022 Group Division System of the blockbuster auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 that took held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, and the showpiece competition will take place from March 26 to May 29.

The league stage games will be held in Maharashtra at four distinct venues: Wankhede Stadium, Dy Patil Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, and Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The Wankhede Stadium and the Dy Patil Stadium will each host 20 matches, while the Brabourne Stadium and the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium will host 15 matches each.

The Indian Premier League will expand to ten clubs in 2022, with two new teams joining the league: Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League featured a round-robin format in which each club played each other twice, but that will alter with the addition of two teams because the IPL 2022 would be held during a short window.

10 IPL 2022 teams will be split into two groups

The Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals have been placed into two groups in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

The Mumbai Indians (MI), headed by Rohit Sharma, are in Group A, while the Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, are in Group B. (CSK).

• Mumbai Indians (5 titles, 6 finals)
• Kolkata Knight Riders (2 titles, 3 finals)
• Rajasthan Royals (1 title, 1 final)
• Delhi Capitals (0 titles, 1 final)
• Lucknow Super Giants (0 titles, 0 finals)

Group B

• Chennai Super Kings (4 titles, 9 finals)
• Sunrisers Hyderabad( 1 title, 2 finals)
• Royal Challengers Bangalore (0 titles, 3 finals)
• Punjab Kings (0 titles, 1 final)
• Gujarat Titans (0 titles, 0 finals)

In the league stage of the Indian Premier League 2022, each side will play 14 games. The ten teams will play twice against the other teams in their group and in the same row, and once against the remaining teams in another group.

Mumbai Indians, for example, will play twice against the four teams in their group as well as Chennai Super Kings, who are in the same row as MI, and once against the remaining Group B teams.

Similarly, the Kolkata Knight Riders will play the Sunrisers Hyderabad twice, the Royal Challengers Bangalore will play the Rajasthan Royals twice, the Delhi Capitals will play the Punjab Kings twice, and the Gujarat Titans will play the Lucknow Super Giants twice. As a result, each club will play five teams twice and four teams once.

The Indian Premier League 2022 qualification process differs from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, in which two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals. Despite being split into two groups, there will be a single points table with all 10 clubs on it, and the four teams with the most points will advance to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 playoffs round.

Meanwhile, the top two teams will have two chances to qualify for the final, as they will compete in Qualifier 1 and 2, while the teams in third and fourth place will compete in the Eliminator round to qualify for Qualifier 2, where they will face the team that won Qualifier 1.
