RR Retained and Released Player List with Purse Remaining
Prior to the mini-auction, Rajasthan Royals kept the players they had and released the ones they had released
After team India’s T20 World Cup campaign abruptly ended, all eyes were focused on the IPL’s next trading period. The final retention list of players has to be sent by Tuesday, November 15—the deadline specified by the league—to all 10 participating teams.
Devdutt Padikkal, a youthful phenomenon for the Rajasthan Royals, has been kept on by the team for the upcoming season. However, the team has discharged New Zealand batting all-arounder Daryl Mitchell and South African hitter Rassie van der Dussen. The team chose to discharge the duo in advance of the IPL mini-auction because they had little impact on the team.
The franchise kept stars like Trent Boult and Jos Buttler, who both had spectacular performances in the most recent T20 World Cup 2022, Down Under. The two have significantly improved the group, and Rajasthan would once again be a potent team if they played in the IPL in 2023.
Despite letting go of a number of elite players from the team, the club managed to keep its core intact. The finalists for 2022 will search for players who could give their team depth when they enter the auction next month with a remaining purse of 13.20 Cr. The team had a fantastic season in 2022, finishing second in the standings after winning nine games during the league stage of the competition. The team narrowly missed winning the championship, and they were forced to give way to Gujarat Titans, who were making their championship debut.
