• Babar Azam did fail for Colombo Strikers in the first game, but he is a class batter and will be keen to come out on the park and deliver for the side. Babar is our pick for Colombo’s top batter.
• Dinesh Chandimal has been one of the most consistent batters in LPL, with over 800 runs. Kandy will be hugely dependent on him, so we are backing him to top score for B-Love Kandy.

CS Team News: 

Colombo Strikers suffered a huge defeat in the first game. The team has experienced players like Babar Azam and Niroshan Dickwella in the team and they should keep the team in good spirits. The Strikers are a good side and well capable to bounce back strong in the next game. Chris Lynn and David Miller are still unlikely to be available due to their commitments in Canada T20 League and Major League Cricket respectively. Iftikhar Ahmed and Angelo Perera are the few players who can get a game.

It will be a close game for sure but B-love Kandy looks a more balanced team. They have experienced Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Matthews in batting while Wanindu Hasaranga and Mujeeb ur Rahman are two quality spinners. Colombo Strikers’ batting looks more or less about Babar Azam, Pathum Nissanka and Niroshan Dickwella and the team lacks depth in batting. For us, B-Love Kandy will start as favourites.

The experienced batter will be key in the middle order. Chandimal is the third-highest run scorer in LPL with 810 runs to his name.

Niroshan Dickwella led from the front and kept Strikers in the hunt in a tall chase. The southpaw scored a sublime half-century and put the team in a strong position before his wicket triggered a collapse and the team lost its way.

Babar Azam 

Babar Azam did get out early in the opening clash but dare you to doubt his abilities with the bat. Babar will be hungry to get back on the field and play a good knock for his team.

Naseem Shah 

Naseem Shah started well with the new ball and got some decent movement. Wickets with the new ball are a possibility and Naseem will be looking to exploit the fresh conditions and get a few early wickets for his team.
